Temprature : Day 15-18 °C / Night 0-5 °C.
Spring is all about the flowers contrasting with the melting snow on the higher altitudes and the carpeted meadows and forest in the lower altitudes. The sun will be brighter, the days start to get longer and the nights much less colder. There won’t be fresh snowfall.
Choose this time if you are looking to experience a good mix of foliage and snow.

What to take on First Himalayan trek
First, The Essentials. You cannot do the trek without these.
- Trekking Shoes

- Base layer: 3 T-shirts
- 1 pair of inner thermals, light fleece layers, 1 light sweater and 1 padded jacket, 2 Trek Pants
Mandatory Accessories, without these too you won’t be able to do the trek.

Fitness details
If you’re just starting out, go slow. Start with 5 km in 43 minutes. Start 45-30 days before your trek. Run 4 times a week and gradually speed up to reach your goal of 5 km in 38 minutes. Keep this pace for 5 days.

FAQ Questions about The The First Himalayan Adventure
How long is the The The First Himalayan Adventure?
On the Dhak-Kuari Pass-Auli trail, you cover 21.5 km during the The The First Himalayan Adventure.
The The The First Himalayan Adventure is flexible in terms of its itinerary and trails. If you start your trek in Dhak, you can get to Khullara campsite via two different trails, Guling and Akhrotghetta as the distinct campsites.
After the pass, you can descend back down to Tapoban or take another trail to Auli. Alternatively, you can camp at beautiful locations like Chitrakantha or Tali on the way down!
What is the height of The The First Himalayan Adventure
The The First Himalayan Adventure reaches a maximum altitude of 12,516 feet.
The trek from Karchhi climbs 5,600 feet during the length of the trek. You climb steadily for the first three days of the trek. From Tali, the trail climbs up to Gorson Bugyal and then descends to Auli. See the detailed itinerary for more info.
Will there be any mobile phone network on the trek?
The The First Himalayan Adventurehas no network or connectivity. However, there are a few places where you can rely on a good network.
At Tali (beyond the lake) and at Auli, you’ll get good network and internet.
Will there be electricity at the campsites/on the trek?
Joshimath is the last electrically connected point. Joshimath is a big town in Uttarakhand, so the infrastructure is pretty good.
Once you start the trek, you won’t have electricity until you get to Auli. Thus, we strongly recommend bringing extra batteries for your cameras and a power bank with more than 10,000 mAh so you can last the whole trek.
Do I Need an RT-PCR Test before my trek?
or all Indiahikes trekkers, we have made an RT-PCR test mandatory. This RT-PCR test must not be older than 72 hours before your trek.
You are exempt from doing a test only in two scenarios:
If you are double-vaccinated
If you have a single vaccination and have recovered from Covid in the past six months.
